ARK: Survival Evolved (and Ascended) is one of the most resource-hungry titles: 8-16 GB of RAM minimum, more with QoL mods. Consumption rises with the number of spawned dinos and structures. Cluster support (cross-map transfers) is critical for serious servers. Anti-DDoS, daily backups and a stable host are non-negotiable for a PvP server. ARK also stresses disk I/O - favour NVMe.
Multiplayer games are mostly single-thread - favour a high CPU clock (4 GHz+) over a high core count. RAM depends on the game: 2-4 GB for 10 Minecraft players, 8-16 GB for 50 Rust players.
