Stormworks needs few resources (2-4 GB RAM for 8 players) but custom missions and complex user creations can saturate the CPU. Single-threaded CPU. The official server supports automated mission rotation. Crash watchdog useful as the game can hang on certain buggy creations. Fairly technical community - hosts often provide SSH/SFTP for fine-grained config.
Multiplayer games are mostly single-thread - favour a high CPU clock (4 GHz+) over a high core count. RAM depends on the game: 2-4 GB for 10 Minecraft players, 8-16 GB for 50 Rust players.
